The official language of the conference will be English.

Publication of Proceedings

The aim is to produce the proceedings of SIP 12 as a special issue of the journal Entomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, as was the case for previous SIP meetings. Manuscripts will be refereed and edited according to the usual conventions of the journal.

The voltage is 230 Volts/50 Hz. For connecting electrical appliances a 2-pin plug is required.

Weather and clothing

August is usually a warm and pleasant month in Berlin. Temperature may rise to 30°C on sunny days, but can decline below 20°C on rainy days.
